Why we started Depth X Ltd.

Aug 2026

DepthX began with founder Marwen Ayadi’s background in marketing and his interest in how emerging technologies could create more measurable and adaptive forms of physical advertising.

The starting point was an autonomous UAV advertising concept. Rather than treating the aircraft as the innovation by itself, the idea explored how mobility, audience measurement, and adaptive campaign execution could operate as parts of one coordinated system.

From a Marketing Idea to a System Concept

Developing the concept required more than identifying a potential use for autonomous aircraft. It involved defining how the different parts of the proposed system could work together, examining its operating requirements, and preparing the related patent applications.

During this process, a broader question emerged: why can digital marketing respond continuously to data while most physical advertising remains difficult to measure or adjust once a campaign begins?

That question shifted the work beyond the original product concept. It created the foundation for research into the relationship between traditional marketing, digital measurement, physical environments, and intelligent decision systems.

Research Before Commercialization

The resulting theoretical work helped shape the approach that DepthX follows today. The company does not begin by presenting an early concept as a completed product. It begins with research, system architecture, and intellectual-property development before moving into prototype engineering and physical validation.

This approach is particularly important when a technology combines autonomous systems, sensing, and real-world human interaction. Each stage must be examined independently, and technical feasibility must be demonstrated before broader pilot or commercial claims are made.

Establishing DepthX Ltd

DepthX was established as an R&D and technology commercialization company to provide a structured path from research questions to protected technology systems.

Its role is to develop the research foundation, define the product and system architecture, prepare the relevant intellectual property, and coordinate the engineering and validation process. After the appropriate technical and legal milestones have been completed, a technology may be transferred or licensed to a specialized operating company for commercial use.

DepthX Ltd was therefore not created around a portfolio of finished products. It was created around a disciplined method: identify a meaningful problem, investigate it through research, design a protectable system, validate it physically, and only then prepare an appropriate route to market.
