Multisensory AI-Powered Smart Vending System for Virtual Clothing Try-On
Overview
Invented by Marwen Ayadi, this system enables virtual clothing try-on while leaving the user's real clothing untouched — digital garments are interactively overlaid to create a realistic, personalized, and immersive experience. It combines visual, acoustic, and olfactory interaction with AI-driven analysis of user behavior and built-in e-commerce functionality, unifying real and virtual clothing, multisensory stimulation, and interactive sales features in a single integrated unit. Existing approaches — smart mirrors, AR try-on apps, scent systems, advertising displays — each solve only part of the problem, typically without real-time preservation of the user's actual clothing, synchronized multisensory output, or integrated commerce. This system is designed to close that gap as a fully autonomous, privacy-compliant unit suited to smart kiosks and autonomous retail terminals. The work extends our Hybrid Marketing Science approach — treating attention, engagement, and conversion behavior as measurable and testable in real commercial scenarios, connecting technological development directly to academic research.
